I am coming up on almost one year of sewing lessons! The sewing school I have been attending in shutting down in June, so I am looking for other ways to learn and experience textiles. I have decided to up my game by enrolling in a one-day indigo dying class with Ashley Eva Brock. Her work is this incredible mashup of natural and fantastic; every photo on her website left me speechless.
Her impressive experience includes working at the San Francisco Opera and for numerous musicians on costumes for their music videos. I will be hanging out at her serene home in Bolinas for a day in about a month; I’m excited to see what I create there.
